Jim Faupel

Honorary Bard

A hugely talented songwriter, vocalist and guitarist, Jim Faupel is widely respected and admired in the European druidic and bardic community, and released his debut solo album Here Be Dragons (on Stop the World Records) in 2003, and a follow up album, Reinventing the Wheel in 2009.

But Jim can also rock out with the best of them! In addition to his solo work, he is also the front-man for Rig Records classic rock artist Sanctuary Rig as well as spending a number of years portraying Rick Parfitt in Staid As Quo, the UK’s foremost Status Quo tribute band. More recently Jim has been working under the pseudonym of bluesman ‘Poplar Jake’. Jim’s website can be found here.

Learn more about Druidry and how to join the order

The practice of Druidry used to be confined to those who could learn from a Druid in person. But now you can take an experience-based course wherever you live, and when you enrol on this course, you join the Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids, and begin an adventure that thousands of people all over the world have taken. It works with the ideas and practices of Druidry in a thoroughly practical, yet also deeply spiritual way.
