I was first moved by the desire to serve people wishing to mark those special and significant occasions in their lives in an inclusive, down to earth and poignant way back in 2010. It was then that my lifelong love of ecology and wildlife, professional background in theatre, television and radio, creative writing and teaching and wishes to further my own personal development merged and prompted me to start tailoring bespoke, outdoor inspired ceremonies. Initially I sought only to cater for friends, family and my fellow Grove members in exchange for a charity donation, but gradually I began to be approached by the wider community; groups, couples and individuals alike, people of all walks of life, budgets and belief systems who share my passion for the natural world.
A good listener, I relish collaboration and work very closely with my clients to ensure that all their needs are met and that they feel wholly supported throughout the planning and preparation process and during the delivery of their ceremony. When invited, I also offer guidance on how to effectively shape a ceremony in a way that befits the occasion and provide a wealth of spiritual and literary resources for my clients to draw from.
I thrive on shaping stories, reflecting what adventures people have been on, their authenticity and (when appropriate) what dreams they might hold for the future – all the necessary qualities for facilitating the perfect ceremony, as my testimonials show.
Based between West Yorkshire and the West Midlands, I mainly work in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Warwickshire and throughout Yorkshire. However, I am perfectly happy to travel further afield.
